Your organization is unique; your web presence is no different. To be successful your web presence needs to be an extension of your organization. Hurley Solutions can help you leverage Internet technologies to enhance your organizational objectives.

The following are two examples of projects that Josh Hurley (president of Hurley Solutions) and his team have produced:

3rd Party Post-Sale Generation Tool
Business Need
A module that allows ecommerce websites to offer 3rd party offers at the conclusion of a sale. The most compelling function of this technology is that consumers need not retype their order information to accept the 3rd party offers. The technology needs to be able to offer an appropriate 3rd party offer per website, intelligently delivering an offer based on prior consumer behavior and website demographics. The module has to be easily installed, secure and scalable.
Solution
Delivered via an ASP model, an application was developed that allows multiple vendors to solicit products and services to consumers who have completed an online purchase from a variety of different ecommerce websites. This is made possible by interactions of a client side component that is installed by an e-commerce website and a web farm application. When the user accepts the third party up-sell, the consumer’s order information is securely transferred to the web farm application. In its busiest month, the application has handled over 600,000 credit card transactions.
Technology
Residing in a load-balanced Microsoft Windows 2000 Server web farm, the application technology used includes a Microsoft COM architecture written in Visual Basic, delivered by Active Server Pages. The application database is Microsoft SQL Server 2000.
Order and Commission Tracking System
Business Need
Create a system to track orders obtained from multiple web sites, the commissions owed to each business business agent, and fulfill orders that pass a series of validation tests. The system needs to apply changing order dispositions, based on individual agent and entity terms. The application end-users and administrators will be non-technical staff.
Solution
Building on the client’s existing infrastructure, a solution was delivered that allows for multiple business entities to be associated with individual website orders. Terms, such as a commission paid per successful order and tracking recurring commissions were developed into the solution. The system produced weekly, bi-weekly and monthly commission statements as well as invoices for the vendors. After an hour training session, users were able to run the day-to-day administration of the application without involvement of technology staff. The system contains an analytical component used by business analysts and senior management.
Technology
Residing on Microsoft Windows 2000 Servers, the application includes a Microsoft Access 2000/XP front-end client, with the data stored in Microsoft SQL Server 2000. Application logic combines Microsoft Visual Basic and SQL Stored Procedures.
